Android 15 to bring Auto Bluetooth Turn-On feature for seamless connectivity

Google is developing a feature for the Android 15 OS that will automatically turn on Bluetooth if it has been turned off. This feature is preparing to make sure that Bluetooth-dependent services, such as Quick Share and Find My Device, are always available when needed. This ensures that devices remain part of the network.

The feature was discovered in the Android 15 code by Android Authority, which found references to an “auto” function that turns Bluetooth back on the day after it is switched off. This suggests that Google is looking to improve the user experience by preventing any interruption in Bluetooth services.

Although the code for this feature is already part of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and the feature is not yet operational in the current Android previews, it is not limited to Android 15. This means that Google could introduce this feature to older versions of Android.

However, it’s important to note that not all Android devices will support this feature. The exact reasons for this are not clear. Through the Bluetooth automatic turn-on feature, Google aims to provide a more convenient and efficient experience with their devices with Android 15.
