Google is going to soon launch its next affordable smartphone Pixel 8a, for which many leaks, rumors, and teasers have come out so far. This upcoming smartphone has taken another step toward its official release by securing certification from the Bluetooth SIG.

The Bluetooth SIG certificate indicates that Pixel 8a will feature the latest Bluetooth 5.3 technology. Also, it reveals several model numbers including G8HHN, GKV4X, G6GPR, and G576D listed for the Pixel 8a.

Additionally, a recent advertisement for Google Fi may have accidentally shown the Pixel 8a. A user named Frutejuise noticed a phone in the ad that matched the Pixel 8a’s leaked images but without a microphone next to the LED flash, a feature present on the standard Pixel 8.

Furthermore, the ad has showcased the device in Bay and Porcelain colors, exclusive to the Pixel 8 Pro, suggesting it could be the new A-series phone.

Previous reports revealed that Pixel 8a will feature a 120Hz OLED display, Tensor G3 SoC processor with Mali-G715 GPU, 64MP Sony IMX787 main camera, and more.

Google has scheduled its annual I/O event for May 14 and 15, 2024, with the Pixel 8a expected to launch with a keynote on the first day. Till the official announcement, we can consider these pieces of information as a pinch of salt.
