Samsung brings hidden Labs features to My Files app
Samsung My Files app has received a new update with version 15.0.04.5, which includes a new experimental features set called ” My Files Labs.” The new update is available on the Galaxy Store with a package size of 18.27MB.
The “My Files Labs” is a test suite and is not recommended for regular use due to potential risks such as data corruption or unexpected behavior. However, it offers a bundle of new testing features, that you can experience on your Galaxy device.

To access the My Files Labs, users need to tap the “My Files” text in the About app section repeatedly until a notification appears.
This update not only brings new functionalities but also addresses various issues reported in the previous release. In addition, it enhances some functions to provide a better Galaxy experience.

Permanently Delete Option:
- It will show the permanently delete option in the delete dialog.
Data History:
- Requires “Usage data access” permission to generate reports on which apps are using significant storage.
Files Operation History:
- Keeps a log of file operations.
Media Files Pending Status:
- Displays pending statuses for media files.
Original Files of Edited Images/Videos:
- Retains the original files of edited media.
Reorganize Folders:
- Automatically organizes folders containing over 100 items to simplify file searching.
