Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21 Ultra users are getting a fresh software update with an April 2024 security patch to improve system security and stability. The update is based on Android 14 and One UI 6.0 for the Galaxy S21 series, expecting to get the One UI 6.1 update soon.

April 2024 security update for the Samsung Galaxy S21 series is rolling out in some countries of Europe and the company will soon expand this update in more countries.

April 2024 Security Patch Details:

April 2024 security patch details include patches from both Google and Samsung to address vulnerabilities and bugs. Google patches 1 critical and 26 high-level CVEs for the Android operating system.

In addition, Samsung has also addressed 17 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) items to enhance security. It fixes issues related to Storage Manager Service, Out of bounds write, and more.

How to Update:

To check for software updates manually, head toward your phone’s Settings. At the bottom, you will get the Software Update section, simply open it. Inside the submenu, you need to hit the Download and Install button if your Galaxy fetches a new OTA.

One UI 6.1 is the Next

Samsung started expanding the Android 14-based One UI 6.1 update 9 more Galaxy devices and is regularly working to make it available for all eligible devices. The Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy S21 series are expected to receive this major update soon as testing is underway.
