Major Galaxy AI update boosts Live Translate, Chat Assist and more with new languages

Samsung rolling out a major update to Galaxy AI, bringing support for more new languages and dialects. Features like Live Translate, Interpreter, Chat Assist, Note Assist, Transcript Assist, and Browsing Assist will now support more new languages.

The first expansion covers three new languages: Arabic, Indonesian, and Russian. These languages join the 13 already supported languages by Galaxy AI features. Later this year, the company will expand support for four more languages: Romanian, Turkish, Dutch, and Swedish.

Apart from languages, Galaxy AI is getting supported by more new dialects. Samsung also fueling Galaxy AI features with three new dialects: Australian English, Cantonese, and Canadian French, while traditional Chinese and European Portuguese will be supported later this year.

Samsung will avail language pack to users of the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus & S24 Ultra, Galaxy S23, S23+ & S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9, Tab S9+ & Tab S9 Ultra.

Starting this month and rolling out over the upcoming months, the newly supported Galaxy AI languages and dialects will each be available for download as a language pack from the Settings app.

TM Roh also revealed that Galaxy AI’s language expansion this year will allow even more Galaxy users to communicate beyond language barriers on a scale that is unique to Samsung.
