Galaxy S22 won’t get Instant Slow-mo even if Galaxy AI arrives!

Samsung is feeling heavy pressure over its Galaxy AI expansion plan. Featuring the same chipset and memory as the Galaxy S23 FE, Samsung’s Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra are officially ineligible for Galaxy AI features like Instant Slow-mo and Live Translate.

The same question was raised during the company’s meeting with stakeholders. Then, TM Roh reportedly said the company is considering expansion of Galaxy AI features for older models. At present, there are various rumors citing AI features’ arrival on the Galaxy S22 and S21 series.

It doesn’t seem to be happening for now. Samsung might roll out some Galaxy AI features to the Galaxy S22 and S21 series soon. However, the availability of features would be identical to what the S23 FE’s changelog mentioned. So, the Instant Slow-mo won’t come?

Yes, it’s correct. Even if the Galaxy S22 and S21 series get Galaxy AI features in the future, Instant Slow-mo won’t be included. The Galaxy S23 FE has received the bells and whistles, excluding the Instant Slow-mo, which is a spotlighting feature of the Galaxy S24 series.

You can take any video in the Gallery app for instance. Just simply play the video, and whenever you want to slow down the scene, just tap and hold on the screen. The Galaxy AI will do the rest for you, allowing you to easily adjust the video without any third-party app required.
