Huawei today announced a major revamp in its camera flagship naming strategy. Huawei revealed that the P series is getting rebranded as the Pura series, with the next phones being named Huawei Pura 70, Pura 70 Pro, Pura 70 Pro Plus, and Pura 70 Ultra.

Despite having fresh branding, Android’s lack will hurt the Huawei Pura 70 the most. Samsung’s Galaxy S introduces the most powerful and advanced camera to the market. However, the Android operating system is unquestionably a reason behind Samsung’s success.

Recently, Huawei officially confirmed the P series has been killed off, and the upcoming phone releases as the “HUAWEI Pura 70” series. Despite US sanctions and the lack of Android, the Chinese phone maker continues to innovate the mobile segment.

The last year’s P60 series also brought some notable camera hardware, which also got praised. For the Pura lineup, the company noted that the HUAWEI P series has been “upgraded” to the HUAWEI Pura, complete with a “new attitude.”

HUAWEI’s Pura 70 series could be split into these four devices:

  1. Pura 70
  2. Pura 70 Pro
  3. Pura 70 Pro Plus
  4. Pura 70 Ultra
