Breaking: Samsung Galaxy S22 starts getting One UI 6.1 and Galaxy AI features

We are in May 2024 and Samsung has started the One UI 6.1 Phase II rollout with the Galaxy S22 series smartphones as promised. Users of Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphones are getting Android 14-based One UI 6.1 update with Galaxy AI suite.

One UI 6.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy S22 series is currently live in Korea and the company will soon make it available in more eligible markets. The update arrives around 3.1GB of installation package size.

The major update improves Samsung Galaxy devices with new AI capabilities, improving user experience and performance. With the Galaxy AI feature, you can search and summarize, edit and organize, and even create something new that’s uniquely you.

Samsung Galaxy S22 series brings all the AI features of the Galaxy S23 FE. Some notable features include Circle to Search with Google, Live Translate,  Note Assist, Transcript script, and Chat Assist, and more.

This major update makes your smartphone more powerful than ever before. It also enhances system security and stability as well as updates some stock apps to the latest available version.

To check for software updates manually, head toward your phone’s Settings. At the bottom, you will get the Software Update section, simply open it. Inside the submenu, you need to hit the Download and Install button if your Galaxy fetches a new OTA.
