Samsung is enhancing the security of its Galaxy S22 series with the release of the May 2024 security update. This update is currently rolling out in Europe and will soon be available to more countries. This update is based on One UI 6.1.

The new security patch addresses a total of 45 vulnerabilities, including 33 that have been identified by Google. Among these, 3 are labeled as critical and 26 as high-level CVEs. In addition, Samsung has included 25 of its own to enhance the security of the Galaxy devices against potential security threats.

May 2024 security update arrives with One UI build S901BXXSAEXE3 for the Samsung Galaxy S22, S906BXXSAEXE3 for the Galaxy S22 Plus, and S908BXXSAEXE3 for the Galaxy S22 Ultra respectively.

Users are advised to install the update promptly to benefit from the improved security measures. For those who have not received an update notification, the update can be manually checked and installed.

To install the update, open the smartphone’s settings, select ‘Software Update’, and then ‘Download and install’. Following these steps will ensure that your Galaxy smartphone is up-to-date with the latest security patch.
