Samsung has updated its Galaxy Tab Active 5 with the major One UI 6.1 software to make it more secure and smarter. The update is initially rolling out in South Korea and the company will soon expand it.

Identified via version X306NKOU1AXD7, the One UI 6.1 update for Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 5 users will have to download around 2GB to install the update.

One UI 6.1 update introduces advanced image editing capabilities, allowing users to clip and transfer elements between images with more accuracy, thanks to improved AI. The Gallery’s search functionality is more efficient, and video editing now includes adjustable playback speeds and the ability to continue editing on another Galaxy device.

Moreover, the visual experience is enriched with depth-of-field effects for wallpapers and new widgets for the lock screen. Users can now customize fonts for the clock widget and set personalized alerts for alarms and reminders.

The major update enhances connectivity features such as Quick Share, web browser synchronization across Samsung devices, and more. If you have received the update, install it now to enjoy new features on your Galaxy Tab.
