Samsung has released a new software update for the Galaxy Z Flip 5, which enhances security by installing the May 2024 security update. The update is currently rolling out in Europe and the US.

May 2024 security update for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphones fixes 45 vulnerabilities including 33 from Google. It includes 3 Critical and 26 High-level CVEs. The update also features 25 Samsung-specific fixes. It makes your device more secure and stable.

However, users expected additional features or fixes, particularly concerning the increased battery drain reported post-One UI 6.1, might find this update lacking. Users experiencing battery issues are advised to keep an eye out for future updates that may provide a much-needed fix.

Users of Galaxy Z Flip 5 can install the latest update by navigating to the phone’s Settings, selecting ‘Software update’, and then ‘Download and install’. This process will ensure their device is up-to-date with the latest security patch.
