Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 to offer smoother display experience w/ reduced crease!

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 could bring less visible display crease than the Z Fold 6. Samsung insider IceUniverse claims that Galaxy Z Fold 6 brings reduced crease. The company continuously tries to eliminate the crease of foldable displays, with gradual improvements welcomed.

Testers citing IceUniverse confirmed that Samsung has reduced the display crease on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The Korean tech giant aims to offer an even more smoother display experience on its next foldable phone with reduced crease.

On foldable display products, the crease is the area from where the panel folds and unfolds. Galaxy Z Flip unfolds vertically, while the Galaxy Z Fold unfolds like a book opening. It has been observed that the crease ruins the display experience on such premium handsets.

Eliminating the crease is nearly impossible, but Samsung is improving it. Last year’s Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip phones adopted new waterdrop hinge technology. It offered two key improvements: reduced display crease and helped the phones fold flat.

The hinge may not get major upgrades in this year’s foldable phones. However, it should have been further optimized to lessen the crease area and increase durability. The company may have also explored possibility to bring dust resistance to the next-gen foldables.
