Samsung improves Messages app’s performance with new update
June 2024 is going on and Samsung has released a new update for its Messages app. The new update is available with version 15.2.01.4 and a package size of 44.15MB. It aims to provide a more reliable and user-friendly messaging platform.
The update focuses on enhancing the user experience by improving the app’s performance. In addition, Samsung has resolved some issues that affected the app’s operation. However, no new features or changes noted.
Users are encouraged to download the latest update to benefit from the improved features and resolved issues. They can install the update via the Galaxy Store app >> Menu option >> Updates or download it directly through the third-party app source link mentioned here. However, we recommend that you wait for the official version to install the update.
Recently, users of the Samsung Messages app experienced frequent crashes, which made the app non-functional. Several attempts to resolve the issue by clearing the app’s cache and data, and restarting the phone were unsuccessful.
Ultimately, the issue was resolved with an update to the Google Meet app. Users are now recommended to update Google Meet to the latest version via the Google Play Store to prevent further issues. Also, it is advised to install the June 2024 update of the Samsung Messages app for a smoother experience.
Google Wallet is getting a huge boost with a series of updates. The latest updates to Google’s digital payments and wallet application span the Wear OS app (passes), website, and Gmail integration (train tickets).
As part of “improving the passes experience for Wear users,” the Google Wallet app on your wrist now supports:
- Grouped passes appear together in the list. When tapped, “each pass will be shown on a carousel.”
- Pass archiving: Open a pass and scroll down for “Archive” alongside “Delete pass” and “Open on phone.” Will move to “Archived passes” section at the very bottom of the Wear OS app
- “Unscannable passes”
Google announced that these updates are now widely available.
Earlier this year, the US tech giant debuted wallet[dot]google[dot]cot. It helps users manage Google Wallet and Google Pay on the web. With the latest update, the website is now available in many more countries.

Google says this is “just phase 1 of our journey of making it available to every GPay and Wallet user, everywhere!”
Apart from this, Google announced that Google Wallet for Android is also expanding to more markets including Bermuda, Cambodia, El Salvador, Guernsey, Kosovo, Morocco, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, and Tajikistan.
Other Google Wallet updates (for developers) include:
- “The closed loop transit API now supports physical to digital card conversion.”
- “Google Wallet now supports VDV (((eTicket Services Motics spec for secure mobile ticketing in Germany. Transit agencies and developers are welcome to leverage Google Wallet specifications here to cryptographically secure tickets from copying, falsification or fraud.”

One UI 7.0 update is also set to improve how the clock format aligns on Samsung devices, especially through the QuickStar settings. This current clock alignment issue has been more noticeable when using Korean or Chinese characters. Users can expect improvements in future updates.

Google Calendar will soon be updated with an array of new flairs. Samsung Calendar comes as default on Galaxy phones, while Google Calendar can also be used after the Play Store install.
The latest version of Google Calendar teases upcoming changes including new flairs. The app readying more specific flairs for everyday events that will be managed by keywords.
AndroidAuthority discovered that words like “cinema” or “coffee” might trigger corresponding imagery as part of adding a touch of personality and quick visual identification to your calendar.
Additionally, each of the 12 months features its unique flair to reflect the changing seasons. Words like birthday and train/journey schedule could also trigger a specific flair for visual appearance.
Google pushed the Calendar visual refresh to a limited number of users. You could soon be able to access them on your Android or iOS device, if not, keep the app updated to the latest version.
