Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 acquired FCC certification ahead of launch. The certification reveals some of the key specifications of the device such as battery capacity, charging speed, as well as network and connectivity capabilities.

According to FCC, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 (Global variant) has the model number SM-F741B. It packs two batteries with model numbers EB-BF741ABY and EB-BF742ABY, providing 1097mAh and 2790mAh capacities, respectively.

Besides, the smartphone supports 25W fast charging through an EP-TA800 USB-C adapter. It will offer both, wired and wireless, charging functionalities. Additional specs such as network and connectivity features include:

  • 5G
  • WiFi (WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax protocols)
  • Bluetooth
  • NFC

Earlier, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 US variant was spotted on the FCC certification. The listing revealed that the expensive foldable also lacks the faster Wi-Fi 7 technology, which Samsung may have disabled on the firmware level.

Samsung’s next-gen foldables are expected to come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Both devices will run Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1 out of the box and have software support for at least 7 years.

The company hasn’t confirmed the Unpacked timeline yet, but it’s reportedly taking place in Paris next month. Samsung will also introduce new smartwatches, the first generation Galaxy Ring and new pair of earbuds.
