June 2024 security update rollout begins with Samsung Galaxy S24 series
Samsung has initiated the release of the June 2024 security update for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphones in the US. The update is currently available for locked models of the Galaxy S24 series on the Verizon network carrier.
The Korean tech giant has already published the details of the June 2024 Android security patch. According to the official information, the latest patch fixes 37 high-level CVEs for the Android operating system. In addition, Samsung is also including 22 SVE items in the update.
It resolves several issues including those affecting the grid image display, battery statistics services, call verification, the Samsung Dialer app, and more. Overall, the update improves system security and stability to provide a better Galaxy experience.
Users of Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphones are getting the June 2024 security patch with One UI build version S921USQS2AXE4, S926USQS2AXE4, and S928USQS2AXE4 respectively.
To check for software updates manually, head toward your phone’s Settings. At the bottom, you will get the Software Update section, simply open it. Inside the submenu, you need to hit the Download and Install button if your Galaxy fetches a new OTA.
It is an initial rollout and the company will expand this update to more Galaxy devices in the coming days or weeks.
