Google introduced the AI-powered Magic Editor app with the Pixel 8 series. Back in April, Google announced the expansion of select features to Android devices. Now, Google Photos rolling out Pixel 8’s Magic Editor feature to Samsung Galaxy phones as well.

Magic Editor is an advanced variant of the Magic Eraser. It lets you move people, items, and animals anywhere in a picture. It also can remove objects completely, just like the Magic Eraser. Additionally, it allows you to change the background including the sky which can be changed with presets

In late May, Google rolled out Magic Editor to older Pixel phones through the Photos app update. In a recent development, Google kicked off a wider rollout of the Magic Editor and other features across Android devices, including Samsung Galaxy phones.

While it’s available to use for free but has some limitations. Android and iOS users can only save 10 edited photos in a month. Once arrives, the Google Photos editing section will display a Magic Editor button, using which, you can enjoy the power of Generative AI.

Most of the Samsung phones already received a similar feature with Galaxy AI update. In some ways, Google’s Magic Editor will help you better edit photos over Samsung Gallery. Anyways, you will have two options of the same functionality, which isn’t a bad deal at all.
