Google is running the Android 15 Public Beta Program. The new OS version is expected to go Stable later this year, with Pixel phones getting it first. Samsung’s One UI 7, based on the Android 15, will likely have improved user interface and user experience.

According to IceUniverse, Samsung’s One UI 7 will feature greatly improved user interface and user experience. Recently, Apple unveiled the iOS 18 with many advancements over the previous version apart from new features derived from AI.

Samsung has already introduced Galaxy AI, but work on UI and UX still required. Despite using the greatest hardware, Samsung’s Galaxy phones lag behind Apple iPhones regarding software stability, system animations, and user interface elements.

The company works on continuous improvements to the One UI. Gradual improvements happen with each iteration, but Samsung should effectively address the concern and narrow the gap with its counterpart. One UI 7 should match the level of Apple’s iOS in terms of UI and UX.

One UI 6.1.1

Next month, Samsung will debut the new Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1. Previous foldable phones will also receive this incremental upgrade over the air. System optimizations and select new features will also be availed to the Galaxy S series flagships.

While all eyes are on One UI 7, it would be interesting to see how Samsung counters Apple’s lead in OS. With the One UI 6, the company made some notable improvements and implemented non-linear animations. However, the stability and functionality of UX should be refined further.
