Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is rumored to get at least three upgraded camera sensors. Despite a months-long wait, the camera upgrades of the next Ultra flagship have allegedly been detailed.

X user ISAQUES81 claims Samsung will bring a new 3x Telephoto and ultrawide camera to Galaxy S25 Ultra. We know that the company might also use an enhanced version of its 200MP ISOCELL HP2 image sensor.

Per the info, the Galaxy S25 Ultra could have a new version of the 1/2.76″ JN1 sensor. The solution will likely be slightly smaller than its predecessor but have a higher resolution of 50-megapixel.

For the 3x Telephoto, Samsung might bring a new 1/3″ ISOCELL sensor to the S25 Ultra. In terms of size, this sensor could be slightly larger than the S24 Ultra’s 3x Telephoto and upgrade the resolution to 50-megapixel.

We suggest taking this info as a pinch of salt as it’s based on rumored information. More reliable details related to the device will likely appear around October-November period when the launch will be quite near.

Galaxy S24 Ultra Camera

Galaxy S24 Ultra is Samsung’s second flagship that uses a 200MP primary camera. The company brought a new 50MP Periscope lens that offers 5x optical zoom and 10x optical zoom quality.

Details of sensors:

  • Primary: 200MP sensor, 24mm equivalent f/1.7-aperture lens, AF, OIS
  • Ultra-wide: 12MP sensor, 13mm equivalent f/2.2-aperture lens, AF
  • 3x Telephoto: 10MP sensor, 67mm equivalent f/2.4-aperture lens, OIS, AF
  • 5x Periscope: 50MP sensor, 111mm equivalent f/3.4-aperture lens, OIS, AF

Previous Ultra models rather use a 10MP Periscope camera with 10x optical zoom. However, the 3x optical sensor of the 10-megapixel resolution remains unchanged in the Galaxy S21 Ultra, S22 Ultra, S23 Ultra, and S24 Ultra.
