Samsung could further reduce the thickness of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, making it the sleekest Galaxy. While phone makers are fueling their new flagships with larger batteries and monstrous camera modules, Samsung seems to be sticking with its design elegance.

IceUniverse claims that the Galaxy S25 Ultra thickness will measure 8.4mm, making it Samsung’s sleekest flagship. It’s a sharp reduction compared to the S24 Ultra which measures 8.6mm thick. Notably, the thickness of the S25 Ultra is said to be 0.6mm less than the S23 Ultra.

Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max is rumored to be 8.26mm thick. Despite featuring an in-built S Pen, 5,000mAh battery, and powerful camera sensors, the Galaxy S25 Ultra would manage to be practically as thin as its Apple counterpart coming in September.

Recently, it was rumored that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will have rounded corners. While using the recent Ultra flagships single-handedly, it hurts the user’s palm due to sharp corners. Samsung has listened to consumer feedback, reducing the sharpness of corners to feel rounded.

In addition, the design that the Galaxy Watch Ultra would feature would be seen in the S25 Ultra as camera rings. The phone would ditch its boxy design, but the S Pen will surely be equipped as an in-built accessory. One UI 6.1.1 is said to have many AI features for the S Pen.

Samsung has to make its Galaxy design department aggressive to better compete with rivals. Debuting the same design with substantial enhancements has become a controversial trend in recent times. Design overhauls in the next-gen flagships are worth welcoming.

Meanwhile, Samsung just announced its July Unpacked event for unveiling new foldable phones and wearables. Next month, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be announced along with the Watch Ultra, Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Watch 7 series, and Buds 3 series.
