Samsung Galaxy A55 welcomes July 2024 update in Middle East

Samsung started rolling out the latest security patch for its Galaxy A55 smartphone in India last week. Now, the company is expanding the July 2024 security update to Galaxy A55 users in the Middle East.

The fresh update aims to enhance system security, optimize stability, fix bugs, and introduce enhanced features to improve user experience. It is based on One UI 6.1 and Android 14.

Users of Samsung Galaxy A55 users in the Middle East can identify the July 2024 security update through One UI version A556EXXS4AXF6 and a download package size of 223MB.

Users are advised to update their Galaxy A55 models to enjoy enhanced security, improved stability, and new features offered by this update. To install the update, users can navigate to the Settings app, access the Software Update section, and choose the ‘Download and Install’ option.

What’s New in July 2024 Security Patch 

July 2024 update contains the Security Maintenance Release (SMR), combining patches from Google and Samsung. Google addresses 4 critical and 21 high-level vulnerabilities in Android.

Samsung has also addressed 33 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) related to components like One UI Home, System UI, Secure Folder, and more, further enhancing device security.

In addition to the security improvements, Samsung is preparing for its Galaxy 2024 Unpacked event scheduled for 10 July 2024. At this event, Samsung will unveil new products including the Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Watch 7, Watch 7 Classic, Buds 3, Buds 3 Pro, new Ring, and Watch Ultra.

Moreover, the Korean tech giant is also going to introduce One UI 6.1.1 with enhanced Galaxy AI features for its latest generation of foldable devices.
