Samsung is re-considering the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim/Ultra given a threat from China. Earlier, it was determined that the Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim is the Z Fold6 Ultra. It is reportedly arriving in South Korea and China later this year.

A new report states that Samsung has halted the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold6 Ultra (Slim?). Honor is reportedly bringing its Magic V3 foldable to the global market. It is said to have a lightweight design and thinner body, pressuring Samsung internally.

Compared to the Z Fold6, the additional model could have a larger display and thinner design. Recently, the display size was rumored to be 8-inch when unfolded, hinting at a tablet-sized foldable. Meanwhile, the launch is uncertain as the company has internally put it on hold.

Samsung has been working on an additional Galaxy Z Fold6 variant this year. The company has a handset with model number SM-F958(N/0). The South Korean tech giant was assumed to market it as Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim in its home ground and W25 in China.

Honor is playing too aggressively in the global foldable smartphone market. The Chinese firm directly takes Samsung on its aim and criticizes over thickness and design. The launch of its new product will further pressure Samsung due to the form factor.
