Samsung’s upgraded Note Assist added a handful of nifty productivity features. Galaxy AI Note Assist in One UI 6.1.1 brings a new PDF Overlay Translation. This new function focuses on boosting productivity as well as easing the document exploration experience.

PDF Overlay Translation feature of Note Assist is powered by One UI 6.1.1-based Galaxy AI. When used, it automatically detects content within PDF files and displays translated text. Simply put, it takes PDF files as JPEG images to translate the way Circle to Search does.

Now, you don’t need to take a screenshot of the PDF file and open the Translate app. Note Assist is now capable to translating PDF files within the Samsung Notes app. You will be able to easily understand important PDF files having different languages.

Samsung says that the Notes app’s PDF Overlay Translation automatically detects content within PDFs and displays translated text. When enabled, it feature helps users quickly understand complex and challenging materials or documents in foreign languages.

At the Unpacked in Paris, the Korean tech giant introduced Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 foldables, Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro earbuds, Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra watches as well as the Galaxy Ring. One UI 6.1.1 and One UI 6 Watch bring many new features to Galaxy devices.
