Galaxy AI’s Live Translate now supports many third-party apps
Samsung yesterday unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 phones. Samsung teased the upgraded Galaxy AI Live Translate, which now supports popular third-party apps. It’s great to see that native Samsung features are getting integrated into fan-favorite apps and services.
According to Samsung, Galaxy AI’s Live Translate now supports the popular third-party apps. Earlier, it was only supported by the Samsung Phone app to translate phone calls in different languages in real-time.
Samsung said that it will gradually bring support for third-party apps and messaging platforms. The functionality may be updated with incremental software and app updates. Meanwhile, foldable phones and tablets will likely get it with One UI 6.1.1.
Earlier, it was reported that WhatsApp calls can be translated through Live Translate. Following the official confirmation, support for WhatsApp is most likely in the first phase. Various Google services like Google Meet might also be adopted with Live Translate.
The company has also pledged to grow the number of supported languages. 16 languages could be supported by the end of July and 20 by the end of this year. Expansion to more languages will ensure most of the Galaxy users will benefit from the AI advancements.
Yesterday, the Korean tech giant introduced new foldable phones including the Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6. The Unpacked also brought the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra which use Samsung’s first 3nm Exynos processor. The company also launched the Galaxy Ring and Galaxy Buds 3 series.
One UI 6.1.1 brings many new AI features to Galaxy devices. Sketch to Image is one of the most exciting features. It turns simple drawings and sketches into completed images with graphic elements and realism. Composer is added to the Keyboard app, letting you easily compose text content based on given keywords.
