July 2024 security update now live for two more Galaxy A series smartphones

After the Galaxy A55, Samsung is releasing the July 2024 security update to two more Galaxy A series smartphones – Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A04e. The latest update improves overall performance for a better user experience.

Samsung Galaxy A53 smartphone is receiving the July 2024 security patch with One UI build version A536BXXSBEXF3 and an installation package size of around 277MB. This update is available for users in Europe and the company will soon expand it to more countries.

On the other side, Samsung is rolling out a July 2024 security update to the Galaxy A04e smartphone in India. Users can verify it through One UI build version A042FXXS8EXF2.

July 2024 security patch integrates patches from both Google and Samsung. Google fixes 4 critical and 21 high-level vulnerabilities in Android, with 2 of these not applicable to Samsung devices. In addition, Samsung has focused on enhancing security by addressing 33 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE).

These are mainly related to One UI Home, System Property, System UI, Filter Provider, Secure Folder, Configuration Message, IMS service, Knox, and MTP app. Overall, the update improves system security, optimizes stability, fixes bugs, and introduces new functionalities for an enhanced user experience.

Users of Samsung Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A04e smartphones can check and install the July 2024 security update manually with a handful of simple steps. Firstly, visit your Galaxy device’s “System Settings,” once done, scroll down and tap the “Software update” tab, followed by the “Download and install” button.
