Samsung Galaxy S24 series receiving July 2024 security update

Samsung has begun releasing the July 2024 security update for Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. The update is currently live for users in Korea and the company will soon make it available in more countries.

Users of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series can identify the July 2024 security update through the One UI builds given below.

  •  S921NKSU3AXFG – Galaxy S24
  •  S926NKSU3AXFG – Galaxy S24 Plus
  •  S928NKSU3AXFG – Galaxy S24 Ultra

July 2024 update contains the Security Maintenance Release (SMR), combining patches from Google and Samsung. Google addresses 4 critical and 21 high-level vulnerabilities in Android.

Samsung has also fixed 33 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) related to components like One UI Home, System UI, Secure Folder, and more, further enhancing device security.

It is an initial rollout so it may take some days to reach all Galaxy S24 models. It is the first Galaxy S smartphone series to receive the July 2024 update. You can check and install the update to enjoy enhanced functions on your smartphone.

To install the update, users just need to download around a 540MB package. For installtion, open Settings and tap on the Software update option. Inside the submenu, you need to hit the Download and install button if your Galaxy fetches a new OTA.
