Samsung has allegedly started One UI 7 (Android 15) development for Galaxy S23 FE. As Google preps to introduce Android 15 next month, Samsung is also progressing with optimization. The latest development indicates that the S23 FE might be eligible for the One UI Beta Program.

Galaxy S23 FE 5G’s Indian variant was spotted running alleged One UI 7 based on Android 15. The latest official firmware carries the “C” character in the firmware’s OS level. However, the OS level has been updated to character “D” in the test build, hinting at a major One UI upgrade.

The latest test build is identified by PDA version number S711BXXU4DXG5.

One UI 6.1.1 is a teaser of what Samsung planned for the One UI 7. The latest One UI version is available on Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6. Select new features and improvements could be shared with some older Galaxy devices with incremental firmware updates next month.

One UI 7 will be available for Galaxy devices later this year. This major upgrade will introduce tons of new features for Samsung consumers. It will also reflect all the core improvements and privacy-centric features that Google deployed in the Android 15 operating system.

The South Korean tech giant launched the Galaxy S23 FE with Android 13 in most markets outside Europe. In late 2023, the device was upgraded to Android 14-based One UI 6.0, followed by One UI 6.1 earlier this year.

The device is eligible for a total of four major Android upgrades. Android 15 will be the second major update for the S23 FE smartphone. It’s also compatible with Galaxy AI features, which gives it an edge over rivals out there in the market.
