Samsung Customization Service July 2024 update

We are in July 2024 and Samsung has pushed a new update for its Customization Service app with version 3.5.06.2. This update improves user experience by enhancing performance and stability.

This update is available on the Galaxy Store for One UI devices with a package size of 26.06MB. It focuses on fixing issues that users encountered in previous versions. However, it does not include any new features or changes.

Samsung Customization Service app uses data from users’ devices, apps, and services to provide personalized content and recommendations. The company ensures that its devices and services meet users’ individual needs and preferences.

The July 2024 update makes the Customization Service app work even better. Users can update their app directly from the Galaxy Store by going to the Menu and selecting the Updates section. Alternatively, they can download it from a third-party link provided by APKMirror.

The update mainly improves how the app functions by making it more reliable and stable. By addressing reported issues and enhancing performance, Samsung ensures that users have a smoother and more personalized experience.

Besides this, Samsung is also making the Customization Service fucntions compatible with One UI 6.1.1 and One UI 7. The Korean tech giant has already released One UI 6.1.1 with Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, aiming to expand to more devices in the coming days or months.

Samsung Clock overlap issue

Samsung has acknowledged the clock overlap issue on One UI devices and confirmed to resolve it with upcoming software updates. The clock issue occurs primarily when LockStar is used with an automatic restart routine.

Users have noted that sometimes upon turning on their phone, the lock screen clock appears to overlap and a manual restart is required to fix it temporarily. Several Galaxy models including Galaxy S23, Galaxy S24, Galaxy Tab S9 FE, and more are affected by this issue.

In response to this concern, a Samsung community moderator apologized for any inconvenience caused and assured users that the company is actively working on a solution. He also confirmed that the issue occurs specifically when using LockStar and Autostart Routine simultaneously.

The good news is that Samsung is planning to release a software update shortly to address this issue. The update aims to fix the clock overlap issue to enhance the user experience and ensure seamless functionality of the lock screen.

WhatsApp is a popular messaging app used globally for sending texts, making calls, sharing photos and other media. It regularly updates to improve its features and user experience. At the moment, WhatsApp for Android is releasing a new beta update that introduces a useful feature to improve group management within communities.

As per the latest information via WABetaInfo, the latest version 2.24.16.12 of WhatsApp adds a group description prompt when creating new community groups. This means that when community admins create a new group then they will see an option to describe the group’s purpose and rules.

In the screenshot, you can see that the group description option is located below the group name. This option is optional, which means that you are not required to fill out the description box.

You can choose to describe what your group is about to help members understand what to expect before joining, or you may leave it blank if you prefer. The decision is entirely up to you.

Previously, WhatsApp allowed users to add descriptions to individual group chats, but this option was not available for groups within communities.

The group description feature is being rolled out to some beta testers who have installed the latest WhatsApp beta version from the Google Play Store. The update is expected to become available to more users soon.
