Samsung has released a new update with the July 2024 update for Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphones. The update is available for unlocked models on the T-Mobile network in the US and the company will soon make it available in more countries.

July 2024 security update for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphones can verified through One UI build version F731U1UES4CXG2 and F946U1UES4CXG2 respectively. The installation package size of this update is around 430MB.

According to the official details, the July 2024 security patch fixes around 55 privacy and security-related issues and exploits, which include 4 Critical and 21 High levels of CVEs in addition to 2 not applicable on One UI.

Other than these, the firmware only brings improvements to system security and stability, which further helps in enhancing the device’s performance. You might also notice improvements for common issues such as app crashing, system lagging, etc.

Samsung just dropped the August 2024 update on Galaxy S24 in the US. The company has recently detailed its latest security update package. A handful of mid-range and flagship Galaxy models have also received the latest patch.

The Galaxy S24 is getting an August 2024 update by AT&T in the US. Following the initial rollout, the expansion will likely take place this week. Samsung could also update carrier-unlocked Galaxy S24 models with the latest patches soon.

Samsung consumers were waiting for a feature drop. Last month, new Galaxy foldables debuted the One UI 6.1.1 software. It comes with various new features and improved Galaxy AI capabilities for the latest foldable smartphones.

Before the Android 15-based One UI 7, the Korean tech giant would provide new AI features as part of its One UI 6.1.1 update. However, the feature drop is now expected to be available as the second August update later this month.

Anyways, the latest August patch is a must to install on your Galaxy. It contains fixes for 50 vulnerabilities detected by Samsung and Google in One UI and Android. Select stock apps would also be upgraded to uplevel overall user experience.

Samsung Galaxy A73, A53, and A54 performance tested on One UI 7 and Android 15

Samsung Galaxy smartphones frequently appear on Geekbench with varying performance scores. Recent Geekbench benchmarks have revealed the performance of 3 Samsung Galaxy A-series smartphones running Android 15 and One UI 7. The models tested include the Galaxy A53, Galaxy A54, and Galaxy A73.

According to the information, three Samsung smartphones including Galaxy A53, Galaxy A54, and Galaxy A73 smartphones have appeared with One UI 7 on the Geekbench platform. Each model shows different performance levels.

The Galaxy A73 has recorded scores of 741 in single-core performance and 2229 in multi-core performance. On the other hand, the Galaxy A53 has achieved 826 in single-core and 1621 in multi-core tests.

Notably, the Galaxy A54 has delivered the highest scores among these three smartphones, with 978 in single-core and 3044 in multi-core scores. The differences in performance scores among these models reflect their different hardware capabilities.

These different scores of Galaxy A53, Galaxy A73, and Galaxy A54 on One UI 7 indicate Samsung’s efforts to enhance both the speed and efficiency of their devices with the next software. However, the Galaxy A54 performance shows enhanced processing power and efficiency with One UI 7.

Several Samsung Galaxy smartphones running Android 15 based One UI 7 have already been tested. These models include the Galaxy S21 Plus, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy S24 Plus, Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S22, and Galaxy A35.

Samsung confirmed that the stable version of One UI 7 will be officially released on October 3, 2024, at the Samsung Developer Conference (SDC). At the moment, the company is working to start the One UI 7 Beta Program for flagships.
