One UI 6.1.1 Auto Zoom

Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Flip 6 smartphone with several new camera features, including the Auto Zoom feature. This Flex Zoom feature will not be exclusive to the Galaxy Z Flip 6 for long, as Samsung will soon expand its availability. The Auto Zoom feature is coming to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 via the upcoming One UI 6.1.1 update.

The amazing zoom camera feature enhances the experience of taking selfies on the cover display by automatically adjusting the zoom level. Auto Zoom feature is only compatible with Flip devices, currently Galaxy Z Flip 6 only and will soon be available for Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphone

Auto Zoom

Auto Zoom feature of One UI 6.1.1 ensures that selfies are well-framed whether capturing full-body or upper-body shots. As users move to a suitable distance and prepare to take a photo, the camera automatically detects the subject and adjusts the zoom accordingly.

It works when the camera is launched on the cover display and the phone is placed in Flex Mode. Using advanced AI technology, such as facial and body recognition, the camera intelligently estimates the best zoom ratio ranging from 0.6x to 3x.

Users of Galaxy Z Flip smartphone can easily use this feature, just need to follow a few steps:

  • Open the Camera app on the cover display and activate Flex mode on your device.
  • Now, move to a distance and prepare to take a selfie.
  • The camera will detect the person and automatically adjust to the appropriate zoom ratio.
  • You can indicate your readiness to take a photo by showing your palm or using voice commands like “Smile”, “Shoot” or “Click”

Through the above easy steps, you can capture more accurate and better-quality zoom pictures. By integrating AI capabilities with UI design, Samsung continues to enhance the functionality and user experience of its flagship smartphone series.
