Samsung Galaxy A73 receiving July 2024 security update

Samsung has pushed the July 2024 security update for Galaxy A73 smartphone users. Based on One UI 6.1 and Android 14, the update makes the smartphone more stable, secure, and reliable.

July 2024 security update for Samsung Galaxy A73 arrives with One UI build version A736BXXS9EXG2. Users will have to download around 350MB package to install the update.

Users of Samsung Galaxy A73 are getting the fresh security patch in Brazil and the company will expand it in more countries soon. It is an initial rollout so it may take some hours or days to reach all models.

The July 2024 security patch addresses over 55 issues including 4 critical and 21 high-level vulnerabilities in Android, although 2 are irrelevant to Samsung devices. In addition, Samsung has fixed 33 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) to strengthen device security further.

These vulnerabilities mainly impact components such as One UI Home, System Property, System UI, Filter Provider, Secure Folder, Configuration Message, IMS service, Knox, MTP app, and others. Beyond security enhancements, the update delivers performance improvements and stability-boosting fixes.
