Samsung One UI 7 may be extremely revamped with revived icons
Samsung One UI 7 may bring radical design changes and brand-new icons. When the company debuted the recrafted Notification Panel last year, it was assumed that we wouldn’t see any major design or user interface change in Samsung’s new skins. However, it doesn’t seem to happen as a trusted source is almost sure about major changes.
According to IceUniverse, One UI 7 may be the most changed version in Samsung’s history. The “icon is redrawn” hints at the adoption of brand new icon design in the next version. The company could bring native customization options for icons. Currently, Galaxy users are required to use Good Lock to revamp icons.
UI changes in One UI are a long-standing demand of Galaxy consumers. Except for the One UI 6, almost every version looks identical due to minor changes. Samsung greatly enhances the user experience, but visible changes give a crucial refresh. We will have to wait till the One UI 7 Beta commencement to see those changes.
Samsung’s One UI 7 will be based on Android 15 operating system. Google will officially introduce the new version in August 2024. The company has already announced its Made by Google event for the Pixel 9 series. The new OS is expected to go official on the same day, and eligible Pixel devices will start getting it gradually.
The next major update could further enhance the Quick Settings and Notification Panel. These aspects might not get any design-related change. We guess icon-related customization capability, charging animation, new fingerprint unlock animation, faster and more reliable transition effects as well as personalization abilities.
The Korean tech giant is already testing the One UI 7 on many Galaxy phones. The Galaxy S24+, S23 Ultra, and S22 devices were also benchmarked on Geekbench with the new OS. Looking forward to the Beta Program, get ready for more epic experiences to come!
