18 Samsung flagships getting July 2024 security update in the US [Verizon]

Verizon is rolling out the July 2024 security update to 18 Samsung flagship smartphones. This includes models from the Galaxy S23, S24, S22, and S21 series, along with popular foldable phones such as Galaxy Z Flip 5, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 4, Z Fold 4, Z Flip 3, and Z Fold 3.

The update boosts security by fixing several issues to ensure devices remain safe from threats. It also brings stability optimization, bug fixes, functional enhancements, and performance improvement.

July 2024 security patch includes the Security Maintenance Release (SMR), combining patches from Google and Samsung. Google addresses 4 critical and 21 high-level vulnerabilities in Android. In addition, Samsung has also addressed 33 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE)

These fixes are mainly related to components like One UI Home, System UI, Secure Folder, and more, further enhancing device security. The update improves overall performance for a better experience.
