Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones are getting the July 2024 security update in the US. The update is rolling out for locked models on the Verizon network and the company will soon expand it.

The Korean tech giant is releasing the latest software update with system security improvements to keep your files and data safe on your phone. It also optimizes system stability to offer you uninterrupted and seamless functionality on your device.

July 2024 patch brings fixes for 4 critical and 21 high-priority Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) identified by Google, alongside 33 Samsung-specific Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVEs).

These fixes are mainly related to components like One UI Home, System UI, Secure Folder, and more, further enhancing device security. The update improves overall performance for a better experience.

Users of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones can verify the July 2024 security update in the US with version N986USQS8HXFC and N986USQS8HXFC respectively.

To check new software updates manually, you just need to follow a handful of simple steps. Firstly, visit your Galaxy device’s “System Settings,” once done, scroll down and tap the “Software update” tab, followed by the “Download and install” button.

Before you download the update, make sure to connect your device to a Wi-Fi network, or make sure it has a strong Verizon wireless network connection. In addition, ensure your battery is fully charged before starting the software update.
