Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim cover screen could feel like S24 Ultra

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim cover panel could feature S24 Ultra-like 19.5:9 screen ratio. The company’s slimmer and bigger foldable smartphone is expected to launch later this year. It is said to have a wider cover and larger inner displays.

According to IceUniverse (via ITHome), the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim cover display could feel like the S24 Ultra. The panel is said to boast the same aspect ratio as the company’s Ultra flagship, while the size is unlikely to be 6.8 inches.

Rather, the Z Fold 6 Slim could have a 6.5-inch cover panel. Featuring S24 Ultra-inspired outer display will make it stunningly impressive. Owners will have a way better experience while using the handset in the folded state.

The main screen of Samsung’s Slim foldable could be 8-inch large. It will offer a tablet-like experience in a portable form factor. The company’s approach to further reduce the thickness will be giving it a completely modernized appearance.

Talking about availability, the Korean tech giant is preparing it for its home ground. We might see its expansion in the Chinese market as the W25 phone. That said, the first Slim-branded foldable from Samsung would be limited to two markets.

Is it a strategic step?

Samsung has been facing immense competition in the global smartphone market. Android vendors from China are utilizing an aggressive marketing strategy. The company offers pretty solid hardware specs at comparatively lower pricing.

Early adoption of the latest technology also gives them an edge over Samsung. Droplet hinge technology was first used by Chinese phone makers in their foldable phones. It completely removed the middle-part gap, while Samsung adopted a year late.

With the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim launch in China, the Korean tech giant seemingly planning to counter local manufacturers. Most foldables made by China-based OEMs remain limited to China and it would be helping Samsung to gain ground.

Samsung may introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim (AKA W25) in the fourth quarter. Earlier, it was rumored that the company has postponed the launch of additional Fold model this year. Later on, news regarding the firmware development reborn the rumors.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

Galaxy S25 Ultra could be Samsung’s sleekest Ultra flagship in years. The company could introduce the device in January 2025. Meanwhile, a Samsung leaker just exposed the design dimensions of the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

According to Ice Universe, the Galaxy S25 Ultra could have 162.8mm in height, 77.6mm in width, and 8.2mm in thickness. It means the device will look slightly larger than the S24 Ultra whereas the thickness and width will be lower.

Leaker Onleaks is about to reveal the Galaxy S25 Ultra design. A blurred image is already live on a landing page, which will be unveiled as soon as the funding threshold is completed. Once done, Samsung fans will have their first look at the next Ultra.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is said to look different than the most recent Ultra models. The device won’t get sharp angular corners in favor of slightly rounded ones. The backplate could also be crafted keeping easier handling in mind.

Samsung’s next-gen Ultra flagship will also equip an upgraded camera. In particular, the ultrawide and 3x Telephoto sensors will be replaced with new solutions. The display could also be made of advanced material set to offer better power efficiency.

Ex-Mercedez designer is reportedly leading Samsung’s Mobile design team. The design evolution already started with the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Buds 3 products. However, a new Samsung design philosophy could be announced next year.

The render is getting unblurred gradually. We are quite excited about the rear design and camera module arrangement. It would be interesting to see if Samsung has made any major design modifications on the backplate.
