Exynos Galaxy S21 FE models grab July 2024 update in India

Samsung is making the July 2024 security update available for Exynos variants of Galaxy S21 FE in India, following the Snapdragon variants. Users can identify the update through One UI build version G990EXXSAFXG1.

The fresh update improves system security and stability to enhance the overall performance. It protects against security threats by incorporating the latest security patches for Android. Also, it improves some functions to provide a better user experience.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE Exynos model users will have to download a 274.81MB package to install the July 2024 security update in India. The update is based on One UI 6.1 and Android 14.

To install the update, users should navigate to the Software Update section found within the device’s Settings. They can select ‘Download and install’ from there to initiate the update process.

July 2024 Security Patch Details

July 2024 update contains the Security Maintenance Release (SMR), combining patches from Google and Samsung. Google addresses 4 critical and 21 high-level vulnerabilities in Android.

Samsung has also addressed 33 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) related to components like One UI Home, System UI, Secure Folder, and more, further enhancing device security.

Facing a Green line issue?

Samsung India is offering free display replacement if your S21 FE display has a green line. If you own a Galaxy S21 series including Galaxy S21 FE and are frustrated with a green line, you can change the display free of cost.

The company has proposed a free display replacement policy for affected Galaxy S21 models purchased within the last three years. This offer is valid for devices experiencing the green line issue until September 30, 2024.
