Exynos 1580 could be the next mid-range Samsung-branded processor. The product is likely to be installed in the Galaxy A56 5G smartphone. We are months away from the launch, but the Exynos 1580 chip’s performance scores were revealed through Geekbench.

According to the info, an alleged Samsung Exynos 1580 was spotted on Geekbench. The chipset carries model number s5e8855 and is paired with 8GB of RAM.

The SoC features an octa-core CPU comprising a big core clocked at 2.91GHz, three cores clocked at 2.60GHz, and four cores clocked at 1.95GHz.

It scored 1046 points in Geekbench 5’s single-core test and 3678 points in multi-core test. These are just initial scores, indicating it could perform equivalent to the Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100.

Interstingly, Geekbench listed the test device was running the Android 15 operating system. It aligns with the company’s previous Galaxy A releases, signaling Galaxy A56 with the latest OS.

Samsung could launch the Galaxy A56 and A36 around March next year. Before these mid-rangers, the company would introduce the Galaxy S25 series. There are assumptions that the lineup would utilize MediaTek’s flagship chip in some markets.

Rumors are there that Samsung Foundry’s 3nm process facing yield issues. The company is working to improve its performance and yield rate. In the worst case, MediaTek Dimensity might be used alongside Snapdragon in Galaxy S25.
