Samsung One UI 7 Update: Which Galaxy devices will get Android 15?
Google Pixel phones will receive the Stable Android 15 update in mid-October. The latest OS remained limited to the Pixel devices till I/O 2024. There’s no info on when Samsung will debut its Android 15 Beta Program — One UI 7 — for Galaxy devices.
Following the I/O 2024 event, Android vendors including Xiaomi, OPPO, and OnePlus started Public Beta for their flagships, which Samsung has not joined. The company is still working on kicking off the One UI Beta program.
One UI 6.1.1 is the latest Galaxy skin based on Android 14. The Android 15-based One UI 7 will arrive on many Samsung devices later this year. We are in September 2024, but already know Galaxy devices are eligible for Android 15.
The Galaxy S24 series will surely be the first to get One UI 7 Beta sometime in August this year. The South Korean tech giant will then expand its Beta activity for other latest flagships including Galaxy Z Fold 6/Flip 6, and some older lineups including but not limited to the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Z Fold 5.

[Leak] Samsung greatly modified One UI 7 Beta, release awaited
One UI 7 Beta continued to be modified in development as Samsung sets “later this year” release. While Galaxy users await the Beta Program to kick off, the company is making radical changes to the user interface and other aspects of the software.
IceUniverse claims that Samsung One UI 7 Beta has modified much with the version ending XJW. It is the latest version that has many changes in terms of UI and appearance. The leaker notes that the new build makes the previously leaked videos meaningless.
Samsung has reportedly brought significant improvements to the One UI 7 Beta. The upcoming software is “full of flexibility,” setting the stage for a grand entry to set a new standard of user experience on Galaxy devices.
While the tipster didn’t note specific changes, notable improvements are likely in animations and motion fluidity. The appearance may have not been revamped much as Samsung already altered that segment in many ways, many times.
One UI 7 XJW leak via Ice Universe
The latest version of One UI 7, XJW, makes the previously leaked videos meaningless, because this version has changed a lot and is full of flexibility, and the previous versions can be thrown into the trash.
Earlier, a YouTuber revealed the One UI 7 interface and features. The video showed many major changes across the user interface as compared to the build that Samsung showcased at CodeLabs after the SDC24 keynote.
Later, we’ve also seen the animation fluidity of One UI 7 in a leaked video. As compared to the One UI 6.1.1, the next iteration has smoother animations, however, the final version is likely to bring it even closer to iOS animations.

One UI 7 Beta (Android 15) release date tipped with another delay
Galaxy users eagerly await One UI 7 Beta but Samsung could take 15 more days for release. As we approach the “end of the year” deadline for Beta, the company is said to be taking another half of a month to start the Beta Program.
According to IceUniverse, Samsung will take “another half month” before One UI 7 Beta release. November has started today and we expect the Beta Program to be kicked off this month for Galaxy smartphone users.
Samsung officially revealed One UI 7 software during SDC24 in early October. We’ve witnessed some graphical visuals, showcasing the UI revamp. Meanwhile, Samsung has further revamped those UI changes within the internal Beta.
