Google Photos getting even more brilliant features

Google Photos will soon add two nifty features powered by AI. The company seemingly preparing auto-enhance and a new toggle for faces in Google Photos. The rollout may begin as soon as the development phase concludes and testing is approved internally.

Auto-enhance

Google is preparing to bring an auto-enhance feature to the Photos app. The toggle will let you automatically enhance images from the share menu. Availability right on the share menu will make it easier to enhance the image just before sharing.

The auto-enhance image feature will have intelligent functionality. Before sharing, you will be able to see the image in its original and enhanced state. If the edited variant comes up to the mark, you can proceed with it for sharing or else, head towards manual editing.

Show more faces

Google Photos app’s version 6.93 includes signs of the new “Show more” option for faces in Memories. Once enabled, the toggle will allow you to see more of a specific face in Memories, which could be handy for family members, partner, or loved ones.

The report notes that Google Photos users can access the “Show more” feature from Settings > Preferences > Memories > Hide people and pets. Back in May this year, the Google Photos app was spotted testing the “Show less” toggle for the Memories tab.

Both of these features were uncovered in APKTeardown performed by AndroidAuthority. Since the development is underway, these changes are hidden behind flags. Once the testing finishes, these features will gradually start to rollout on Beta channel.
