Samsung Boss will meet Tesla and Hyundai chiefs in Paris. Korea’s Chosun reports that Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, is scheduled to meet with Samsung Elec’s Jay Y. Lee and Hyundai Chairperson Chung Eui-sun.

The meeting in Paris has reportedly been organized by Samsung Lee, with both Musk and Chung accepting the invitation. The agenda of the discussion will likely be collab on automobile semiconductors and EV batteries.

It will be the first time when the heads of Samsung Elec, Tesla, and Hyundai will get together for a meeting. Tesla and Hyundai are the world’s reputed car makers, slated to have fruitful business growth talks with Samsung’s Lee.

Last year, Samsung Boss met with Elon Musk during a chip research center meeting in Silicon Valley. In addition, both of the officials attended a luncheon hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron on July 25 in Paris.

Interestingly, it will be the first meeting between Elon and Chung. The Hyundai Chairperson is currently in Paris as the chairman of the Korea Archery Association for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

An industry insider noted, “As cars evolve from simple transportation means to wheeled computers, yesterday’s competitors can become today’s collaborators. This collaboration could create new opportunities in parts supply and other areas.”
