WhatsApp is rolling out a fresh beta update for Android with version 2.24.16.10, which adds a new Meta AI feature. This update is currently available to a select group of beta testers.

The new WhatsApp beta update brings the ability to send voice messages with Meta AI for better interactions. According to the WABetaInfo, users can now speak directly to Meta AI in addition to typing messages.

In the screenshot, you can see a voice messages button on the chat interface. This button allows users to send messages to Meta AI for quicker communication, as talking is usually faster than typing.

Meta AI uses advanced speech recognition technology to understand and respond to voice messages accurately. Not only this, if the AI finds difficulties in understanding a message due to background noise or poor audio quality, it will request the user to re-record the message.

Notably, the latest beta update also expands access to Meta AI, particularly in India. This expansion allows more WhatsApp users to interact with Meta AI for advice and answers on various topics. Additionally, these beta testers can use AI Studio which provides access to specialized chatbots for more personalized interactions.

Users interested in trying out this new feature can download the latest WhatsApp beta update from the Google Play Store. The voice messaging capability will be rolled out to more users gradually in the coming days or weeks.
