Apple could enter the foldable smartphone market in 2026. It’s allegedly planning to launch two foldables including an iPad and a Flip iPhone. We’ve been hearing rumors about Apple’s entry in the segment, which are now getting solidified.

According to a report, a foldable Apple iPad and the clamshell (Flip) smartphone will launch in 2026. The report states that the foldable iPad/iMac hybrid will launch first, with a pegged release date of Q2 2026.

Pu claims that the clamshell foldable iPhone could arrive in late 2026. The company has been planning to bring its Galaxy Z Flip rival within two years. It could introduce the foldable iPad as a competitor to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold.

Samsung has recently launched the sixth generation of foldable devices. Apple still targeting a potential debut in two years. The company is working to eliminate the display crease that is the biggest disadvantage of foldable screen phones.

Apple earlier requested Samsung and LG Display to explore foldable screen tech. The iPhone maker is investing in research and development to increase foldable products’ durability. Elimination of the display crease has been the focus since the start.

Entry of foldable products from Apple will result in market growth. The company has a loyal consumer base, who always prefer Apple products. Samsung Display will surely gain the benefit of being a potential foldable panel supplier to Apple.

Apple iPhone 16

Apple officially launched the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. At It’s Glowtime event, the company unveiled new models for consumers. The vanilla model features a 6.1-inch screen, while the Plus variant packs a 6.7-inch panel.

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus debut a dedicated Camera Control button. It is a touch-sensitive key, letting you snap a shot by tapping and adjusting zoom through a swipe gesture. For handy access, the iPhones boast this button below the power button.

Apple’s iPhone 16 and 16 Plus are powered by an A18 chip, up to 30% faster than iPhone 15. This 3nm chipset features a six-core CPU, five-core GPU, and sixteen-core Neural Engine for faster artificial intelligence performance.

Samsung has been enjoying a fruitful market position in the past three quarters. However, the new hardware launch by Apple will help it grab the market leader crown. The third quarter is going to be Apple’s but not for much time as S25 is incoming.

The Galaxy S25 series will be equipped with a 3nm chipset. Qualcomm’s Oryon CPU is rumored to better compete with Apple’s A18 processor. However, the Apple Intelligence features are expected to benefit iPhone 16 models in key markets.

The iPhone 16 also bring Action button first introduced on the iPhone 15 Pro models last year. More features include brighter and more durable screens as well as the A18 silicon, offering up to a twice as fast 16-core Neural Engine.

Unlike iPhone 15 lineup, Apple Intelligence is available across the iPhone 16 range. All four models support generative AI features derived from Apple Intelligence. It could lead older iPhone owners to upgrade to the new iPhone 16 model.

Apple has just announced the Apple Watch Series 10 at the “It’s Glowtime” event. The new model comes with a fresh design that hasn’t been updated since 2021. The Watch Series 10 features a thinner design and a larger display. It’s a strong competitor against Samsung’s latest Galaxy Watch 7.

Apple Watch Series 10 launches with several notable enhancements. It supports fast charging, so you can get up to 80% battery in just 30 minutes. Now, you don’t have to wait long for your watch to be ready to go.

Moreover, the Watch Series 10 Titanium design integrates a new built-in speaker, which allows users to play music or podcasts directly from their wrist. It also has better water resistance and is certified for high-speed water sports up to 20 meters deep. It means that the watch can handle more intense water activities and includes the Depth app, which was previously only available on the Ultra models.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 Satin

Apple isn’t launching Watch Ultra 3, but refreshing the Watch Ultra 2. This year, Samsung launched its first Ultra-branded Galaxy Watch. However, the Watch Ultra 2 is not getting a sequel this year, with Apple refreshing the current model.

At It’s Glowtime event, Apple launched a new satin black titanium version of the Watch Ultra 2. The company first announced the Watch Ultra in 2022, which was upgraded with the Watch Ultra 2 last year -featuring a rugged design.

Apple’s Watch Ultra 2 features the same design as the original Watch Ultra. The new Satin variant introduces the same larger screen size and longer battery life. It offers a slightly faster chip, a brighter display, and improved ultra-wideband tech.

Meanwhile, Apple launched the Watch Series 10 smartwatch. It sports a considerably larger screen, matching the Ultra sizing. The marketing strategy would put the Watch Series 10 in the mainstream, even for those who prefer the Ultra model.

Samsung’s Galaxy Watch Ultra flaunts a rugged and appealing design. It is equipped with Galaxy AI features, enhancing the health and wellness monitoring aspects. Wear OS also plays a crucial role in improving usability and tracking capabilities.

Apple halted bringing the extra expensive smartwatch this year. It comes after Samsung’s entry in the rugged smartwatch segment. It seems to be a strategic move to solidify the broad audience as the competition is intensifying globally.
