6 Verizon Samsung flagships getting August 2024 update in the US

Verizon is rolling out the August 2024 security update for Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 series in the US. The update is rolling out for locked variants of these devices. The company will expand it to more countries soon.

August 2024 security patch fixes over 45 security issues, including 1 critical and 34 high-level vulnerabilities from Google. Notably, 1 CVE was previously resolved in earlier updates, and 2 CVEs are not applicable to Galaxy devices.

In addition, the update contains fixes for 14 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) specific to Samsung devices and apps. This includes improvements to system services, Knox services, Galaxy Watch, and other related components. It improves security to protect your device from vulnerabilities.

Beyond security improvements, the update also optimizes the stability of the device to provide a better Galaxy experience. It is worth mentioning that this latest software is regular security maintenance.
