Nearly 250 incidents of fires in Samsung electronic stoves have been reported in the US. The matter is quite concerning, with buyers facing property damage apart from killed pets and injured about 40 people.

WSJ reports Samsung recalled electronic stoves sold since 2013 in the US. The company is reportedly recalling over 1.1 million electric stoves sold since 2013. It came after reports of 250 fires that damaged property, killed pets, and injured about 40 people.

Samsung is availing locks and covers to consumers without any cost. These components can be used to ensure their front-mounted range knobs stay in the “off” position. The company has notified buyers through the official website in the US.

Notably, Samsung sold the stoves through retailers from Best Buy to Costco nationwide for between $1,250 and $3,050. The Korean firm confirmed the remedies and sales details in a statement, which did not mention fires or injuries.

Product recall happens whenever a product-related deficiency occurs on a large scale. Electronic firms often try to mitigate issues through troubleshooting. You may be aware of the Galaxy Note 7 recall, which was the largest in Samsung’s history.
