Samsung launched Galaxy Z Flip 6 Olympic Edition at the Unpacked last month. The company has also distributed around 17 thousand units of the special edition to athletes participating in the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

With the Olympic 2024 in full swing, one item that has fascinated spectators and fans worldwide is the Galaxy Z Flip 6 Olympic Edition. Samsung has specially designed it for all athletes participating in this year’s Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 6 Olympic Edition is serving as the first smartphone on the Olympic Games podium. It’s packed with Galaxy AI to help athletes communicate freely across different languages, share experiences, and a lot more.

Medalists have also been capturing their moments of glory on the Olympic Games podium through Victory Selfies. Recently, Samsung published several images featuring first impressions of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 Olympic Edition smartphone.

First Impressions – Galaxy Z Flip 6 Olympic Edition

The golden track running across the neat black packaging and the folded Galaxy Z Flip6 in the middle are the first design elements to attract attention. Underneath the image are the Olympic rings, Paralympic agitos and Samsung logo.

The packaging consists of two boxes, one for the smartphone and another for the Flipsuit Case. The box with the device features the same track design as the outer packaging, whereas the box with the Flipsuit Case shows a vibrant mix of colors.

The box contains the device, a USB-C cable, and a brief user manual. The Yellow color reminiscent of the Olympics is the most noticeable aspect. The Olympic and Paralympic emblems as well as the Samsung logo are engraved on the back of the device.

When Olympians turn on the device, they will be pleasantly surprised with a specially crafted welcome message. “You, the athletes, are the heart of the Olympic & Paralympic Movement” — the message reads, fully supporting those starring in the Games.

Flipsuit Case

The Flipsuit Case is an accessory that makes using the Galaxy Z Flip 6 even more fun. Users can personalize their devices by attaching an NFC-equipped Flipsuit Card to the case and display an automatically synchronized animation of the card’s image on cover.

The Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition comes with an exclusive Flipsuit Case and Flipsuit Card. Made of luxurious leather, the Flipsuit Card features an aesthetic color scheme inspired by the Olympic flag for a unique texture and feel.

Samsung rolling out a set of new AI tricks and features to Galaxy devices with the One UI 6.1.1 update. The company has finally kicked off the most anticipated rollout, bringing cool new functionalities before the One UI 7 arrives later this year.

Chances are high that One UI 6.1.1 would land on your Galaxy if it’s running One UI 6.1. The rollout will expand gradually, with initial coverage aiming at flagship phones and tablets followed by select mid-range smartphones.

Updating your Galaxy phone doesn’t include a tricky process. You just need to hit the Download and install button inside the Software update tab within Settings. If available, the firmware will first download, enabling a restart button for completion.

Samsung has pushed an Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1 update for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphones in Korea. It is an initial rollout so it may take some hours or days to reach all models.

Users of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphones are getting One UI 6.1.1 update with builds F731NTCU3DXHA and F946NKSU3DXH9 respectively.

One UI 6.1.1 update offers several enhancements to provide a better Galaxy experience. It features Galaxy AI’s Sketch Conversion for artwork creation, improved Portrait Enhancements, and text auto-completion in Samsung Keyboard.

Users can now access real-time translation for calls and text in images, convert voice to text, manage PDFs more efficiently, and utilize dynamic wallpapers. This update also incorporates the September 2024 security patch.

Aside from this, it brings the Auto Zoon feature and the ability to shoot like a camcorder with Flex Cam to Galaxy Z Flip 6. It also supports HDR video format for the Insta Slow-mo feature in Gallery app.
