We are in August 2024 and Samsung is rolling out a new software update for Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G. The update is available for users on Verizon network carrier in the US and the company will expand it in the coming days.

The new update for Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G in the US can be identified through One UI build X218USQU2CXG2. The update installs the May 2024 security patch to improve system security and stability.

In addition, the latest update preloads the Samsung Kids mode app to make it easier for parents to provide a safe and fun digital environment for their children.

Samsung Kids mode app offers a variety of fun games, interactive stories, and educational activities that help children learn while they play. Parents can customize the content, set time limits, and keep track of how much their kids are using the device.

To check for software updates manually, head toward your tab’s Settings. At the bottom, you will get the Software Update section, simply open it. Inside the submenu, you need to hit the Download and Install button if your Galaxy fetches a new OTA.

Before you download, make sure to connect your device to a Wi-Fi network, or make sure it has a strong Verizon wireless network connection. In addition, ensure your battery is fully charged before starting the software update.

Previously, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G received an Android 14-based One UI 6.1 update with a bundle of new features and enhancements. It enhanced some apps including Device Care, Clock, Gallery, and more.
