Samsung has released a new update for its Messages app with version 14.5.42.5. This update is available for Galaxy devices with an installation package size of 44.43MB on the Galaxy Store.

The latest version improves the app’s functionality and resolves issues that users encountered in the previous version to enhance the user experience. However, it does not include any new features or changes.

Users of Galaxy devices can expect smoother performance, which is mainly noticeable in messaging and media management. It also fixes issues with message delivery and notification glitches that some users had reported.

Overall, the update provides a better and more stable messaging experience. You can install the update via Galaxy Store >> Menu option >> Updates. Also, you can download the update directly from the third-party app source link mentioned here.

Samsung Messages app in the US

Last month, Samsung announced that the company decided to stop pre-installing its Samsung Messages app and will use Google Messages app in the US. Through this, Samsung aims to align with Google’s improved messaging experiences globally.

The Korean tech giant will no longer include its Samsung Messages app as a default feature starting with the latest smartphones including the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6.
