August 2024 is going on and Samsung is rolling out a new update for the Galaxy A33 smartphone. This update is currently available for users in Brazil and the company will soon expand it to more countries.

The fresh update installs the July 2024 security patch to improve system security and stability. It brings improvements to keep your files and data safe on your phone. Moreover, it optimizes system stability to offer you uninterrupted and seamless functionality on your device.

Samsung Galaxy A33 users get the new update released in August 2024 with One UI build version A336MUBSAEXF2. They will have to download around 275MB package to install the update. It is an initial rollout so it may take some hours or days to reach all models.

The July 2024 security patch addresses over 55 issues including 4 critical and 21 high-level vulnerabilities in Android, although 2 are irrelevant to Samsung devices. In addition, Samsung has fixed 33 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) to strengthen device security further.

These vulnerabilities mainly impact components such as One UI Home, System Property, System UI, Filter Provider, Secure Folder, Configuration Message, IMS service, Knox, MTP app, and others. Beyond security enhancements, the update delivers performance improvements and stability-boosting fixes.

Users of Samsung Galaxy A33 smartphone can easily check and install the update via a few easy steps:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Select Software Updates from the menu.
  • Tap on the Download and Install option to initiate the update process.
  • If the update is available, proceed to install it.

This new update is based on One UI 6.1 and Android 14. It fixes issues that users encountered in previous software to provide smoother performance.
