Google’s Android 15 Beta 4.2 update fixes camera and UI issues
Google has released the Android 15 Beta 4.2 update for Pixel devices, which addresses several issues reported by users. The update is available for Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and Pixel 8a.
Users can verify the Android 15 Beta 4.2 update through version AP31.240617.015. The update installs the August 2024 security patch to improve system security and stability. Through this update, Google aims to improve device performance and resolve various problems.
The new beta update mainly enhances the camera by fixing several issues, such as the appearance of a gray transparent bar while using the camera, low frame rates, crashes when adjusting zoom levels, and issues with camera saturation. It also resolves a bug where some devices were slow to wake up to enhance responsiveness.
The update also includes improvements to the user interface by resolving issues related to UI flickering and crashes in the YouTube app. Users of the Pixel devices can download the update to enjoy an enhanced experience.
Following the Android 15, Samsung is planning to start the One UI 7 Beta Program for Galaxy devices. This allows users to enjoy new features and enhancements of Android 15 on their devices ahead of the official release. Some reports revealed that the company is going to release the One UI 7 Beta update in late August 2024.
