Samsung is releasing an August 2024 security update for Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A52s smartphones. The update is currently rolling out in Russia and the company will make it available in more countries in the coming days.

The Korean tech giant is rolling out the latest software update with system security improvements to keep your files and data safe on your phone. It also optimizes system stability to offer your device uninterrupted and seamless functionality.

Notably, the August 2024 security patch fixes a bundle of issues including 1 critical, 34 high-level vulnerabilities in Android, although 2 are irrelevant to Galaxy devices. In addition, the update has addressed 14 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) to strengthen device security further.

August 2024 security update arrives on Samsung Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A52s smartphones with One UI build versions A525FXXS8FXG3 and A528BXXS9GXG5 respectively. It is an initial rollout so it may take some hours or days to reach all models.

This update protects from possible bugs and viruses to ensure the smartphones operate smoothly. Samsung advises all users to install the update immediately to benefit from the new security measures.

To check for software updates manually, head toward your phone’s Settings. At the bottom, you will get the Software Update section, simply open it. Inside the submenu, you need to hit the Download and Install button if your Galaxy fetches a new OTA.
