Circle to Search feature arriving on 6 more Samsung devices. While the company announced this feature expansion, brought devastating news for many. In particular, the Galaxy A53 smartphone users feel betrayed as Circle to Search is ignored.

Samsung confirmed Galaxy A55, A54, A35, and A34 getting S24’s best AI feature. It left the Galaxy A53 ineligible for the AI-powered Circle to Search. While Google is optimizing it for all Android phones, Samsung’s decision is surprisingly shocking.

Circle to Search is the result of a deep collaboration with Google, which signifies Samsung’s commitment to openness and collaboration. With AI-powered results offering rich information and context, it elevates the search experience.

Samsung’s Galaxy A53 was launched in March 2022. It comes with an Exynos 1280 processor and Android 12 pre-installed. The phone is currently running Android 14, with Android 15 and Android 16 will also be delivered as per Samsung’s schedule.

TM Roh on Galaxy AI:

“We are dedicated to bringing best-in-class AI technology to a broader audience, empowering users with the option to work more efficiently, create more freely, and enjoy richer, more personalized interactions with their devices.”

Circle to Search feature to be rolled out within August 2024 for the following models: Galaxy A55, A54, A35, and A34, and within September 2024 for Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+. However, the availability may vary by device model and market.

The Korean tech giant is quite serious about its mid-range segment. It’s planning to fuel its affordable phones with Galaxy AI. Circle to Search is arriving as a big surprise, but limited expansion has broken the hearts of many A53 owners.

Circle to Search is a new way to search anything using a simple gesture – without switching apps. When enabled, users can simply circle, highlight, or tap anywhere on the screen to select the text, image, or video they want to search.
